Drop-in Sports

Drop-in is a free way to have an active lifestyle and meet new people. There are a variety of sports available throughout the week ranging from Badminton, Basketball, Indoor Soccer, Volleyball and Table Tennis. Equipment is available for free and access to showers and lockers is available in the on site in the Student Recreation Centre.Schedule is posted online is up to date with the most accurate information.

The UBC REC Drop-In schedule is available online and is up dated up to months in advance!

If you find a time that you can participate just stop by the UBC REC Operations desk and we can get you started! Use our Facebook group to find people with similar schedules to setup any pick up games or matches.We try to keep the schedule updated but sometimes due to unforseen circumstances we have to make changes, so make sure to check!

Our Instructional classes are open to drop-in on for a fee. There are a variety of classes available - click on the Instructional button to learn more!

UBC REC Operations staff are in charge of making sure that the building is clean and safe and that you have the best experience possible. They are very knowledgeable about the program and can answer any questions that you might have! They also give the best directions on campus!

The live drop-in count provides participants with updates regarding the current capacity of each gymnasium. OPS staff perform the counts approximately every half hour to ensure that you’re receiving the most up-to-date information!

We want to make sure you have the safest and best experience possible and the policies that we have in place ensure that we do so. Our wristband policy is our main one - you can obtain this by presenting your UBC Student, UBC Staff/Faculty, UNA Card or paying the drop-in fee.

You can find general rules and regulations and drop-in capacities for each sport on our policies page. Our goal is to to ensure a healthy, respectful, and safe environment for all drop-in participants! If you have any questions or need more clarification do not hesitate to ask an Operations Staff

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Drop-in is free to anyone who has a UBC or UNA Card - if you do not have your card, you will have to pay the $5.50 drop-in fee.

DROP-IN IS FULL, NOW WHAT?

If drop-in is full just put your name on the waitlist, we check the gyms every 20minutes when it is busy.
