Storm the Wall Race Route Description

START: POOL DECK (NORTH END), UBC AQUATIC CENTER

STAGE 1: Swim
(225 Yards - 9 widths of pool).
Once the swimmer has completed their 9 widths, they will exit the pool and tag their sprinter at the doors to the outdoor pool deck area.

STAGE 2: Sprint (450 m)
Sprinter will exit onto the outdoor pool deck and run down the ramp onto University blvd. They will run all the way up University Blvd. to Main Mall, where they will cross a Sprinter Finish Line.

STAGE 3: Cycle (3.5 Kilometers)
The cyclist will take off as their sprinter crosses the Sprint Finish Line. They will do 9 laps around the loop in between Henry Angus and Chemistry. After their 9th lap they will cross the cycle finish line allowing their runner to begin.

STAGE 4: Run (1 Kilometer)
The runner will start at University and Main Mall and run south along Main Mall. They will run to the Engineering E where they will loop back and run north along Main Mall to Agricultural Rd. They will turn right on Agricultural Road and run east past Irving K. Barber and Hennings. The runner will cross East Mall and make their way onto North Plaza.
Other team members should have already congregated in the holding area, and once the runner arrives, all members will proceed to their designated wall together. The runner will be wearing the team's race number and MUST touch the wall first, and be the last to cross the finish line, in order to ensure that each team's time is recorded properly.

STAGE 5: The Wall
The team runs up to the wall and the runner touches it first. The entire team must then scale the wall, in whatever order they want as long as they follow the wall regulations. Once the entire team has gone over the wall they must cross the finish line, located directly behind each wall. Again, the runner (with the race number) MUST be the last to cross the finish line.

Important Notes:
Each team member must tag the next member before the next leg of the relay is started - except for the cycle transition, where the Stage 4 runner must wait until the cyclist has crossed the cycle finish line.
As soon as a member is finished a relay lap, he/she should proceed directly to the wall to await the final runner. While awaiting the runner, the other team members (including the wall person) are restricted to the holding area and MAY NOT wait on the bark mulch near the wall.
